I’ve been interested in complementary health since I was a student when I discovered homeopathy. After graduating, I spent three months in Chile on expedition with Operation Raleigh, returning to work as an actress with Northern Black Light Theatre, a childrens’ theatre company based in York. Whilst ‘resting’ I undertook administrative jobs, having previously attended a post graduate business and secretarial course.
My interest in homeopathy continued to grow and in 1987 I started a four year course with the College of Homeopaths. However, becoming a mother in 1990 changed my priorities and I decided to leave the course with the intention of continuing my studies at a later stage.
I became aware of the benefits of massage therapy after receiving treatment from a therapeutic masseur for problems I’d been experiencing with my back. Given that my problems were soft tissue and not skeletal in origin, the relief I gained from the treatment and the speed with which I recovered inspired me to look into training as a therapeutic masseur which I did in 1995.

Since training as a therapeutic masseur I’ve trained in an additional seven therapies: Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Bach Flower Therapy, Reiki Healing and Thai Yoga Massage.
As a family, we have a commitment to health and sport. I cross train with my current favoured sports which are golf, running, swimming and as a spectator, cricket and rugby.
